Hello,

I am fairly new to coding, and I am currently learning c++. I use scratch as a basic, but I decided to go for something more challenging and helpful to my idea of wanting to develop a game. I am wondering how you would go about this and what strings of code are the most important to have in a basic game.

A good experience would be to try and complete a full game. Start with something easy, such as a hangman game.

Post your solution if you need someone to review it. ;)

Doing proper games with graphics, audio, animation, video, etc is a long-long work. You'll need game engines for them (Unreal, Unity, etc). You could write your own engine, but that would just make the long process even longer. Especially for a one-man-team.
